Overview

The Share with a Link feature lets you create secure, trackable links for files in CX. Instead of sending attachments back and forth by email, you can create a controlled link with optional limits. This gives your team a simpler and safer way to share documents with external users.

Key Benefits

  • Lets you share files quickly without adding external users to your team.

  • Supports optional expiration dates for better security control.

  • Supports optional use limits so links can be restricted.

  • Makes link management easier with copy and revoke actions in one place.

How To

Step 1: Open Files and select the file you want to share.

Step 2: In the right-side panel, find the Share with a Link section.

Step 3: Click Add +.

Step 4: In the Create a new File Link window, enter a Nickname so your team can identify the link later.

Step 5: Set an Expiration Date if needed. The link expires at the end of that date.

Step 6: Enter Number of Uses if you want to limit how many times the link can be opened. Leave it at 0 for unlimited uses.

Step 7: Click Create Link.

Step 8: After the link is created, click Copy Link to copy it to your clipboard.

Step 9: Send the copied link to the person who needs access.

Managing existing links

Each saved link shows its nickname, expiration date, and usage count.

Use the link icon action to copy a link again at any time.

Use the delete action to revoke a link when you no longer want it to work.
