Stax.ai’s integration with FTWilliam.com enables Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to efficiently transmit clean census data directly from Stax.ai to FTWilliam.com for compliance and testing purposes. Census data can be ingested into Stax.ai via payroll integrations or uploaded payroll reports, processed through the Census Data Management system, scrubbed, and reviewed before transmission. This integration allows users to either automate the transmission process as part of a project workflow or manually export the data from the Participants page.
Viewing the FTWilliam Integration
To view the FTWilliam integration, navigate to Settings > Integrations, and select the FTWilliam.com tile.
Quick Checklist
Add the FTWilliam.com Integration on Stax.ai > Settings > Integration and copy/paste your FTWilliam.com API KeyID and API path.
Setup a Census Grid on FTWilliam that follows the format
Configure at task in a project template with the automated task "Transmit census data to FTWilliam.com."
Launch projects with the task on the plans you want to transmit data for.
If you have additional fields you need on the census file, please contact your Client Success Specialist who will prepare a custom grid for you and configure your Stax.ai account to save data with that grid.
Configuring the FTWilliam.com Integration
In order to use the FTWilliam.com integration, a connection must be added to Stax.ai.
Right-click on your user icon in the bottom-left corner of the Stax.ai interface.
Select "Integrations" from the menu.
Click on the FTWilliam.com icon to start the connection setup.
Get your ftwLink API path and KeyID from FTWilliam.com: Log into FTWilliam.com or contact their support team for assistance.
Paste the API path and KeyID into the Stax.ai connection setup screen.
Save the connection.
Additionally, you must add a custom Census Grid to FTWilliam.com to match the format of the file that Stax.ai sends to FTWilliam.com
Transmitting Census Data Automatically
To automate census data transmission to FTWilliam.com, follow these steps:
Open a census review or transmission project that is linked to a plan.
Create a new task for transmitting census data.
Attach the automation:
Click "Attach Automation."
Search for and select "Transmit census data to FTWilliam.com."
Set the plan year:
Enter the plan year or link the project’s data field to the plan year.
Save the automation.
Best Practice
Use the "Annual Census Data Review for FTW" project template to include the automation in all plan-related projects. This will ensure the task is triggered automatically at the right point, typically after manual census review.
Manual Transmission from the Participants Page
To manually request a transmission of census data from the Participants page:
Navigate to the Participants page and select the client.
Click on "More" in the top-right corner.
Select "Transmit census to FTW".
The data will be transmitted immediately to FTWilliam.com.
This integration simplifies census data handling, allowing TPAs to either automate the process or manually trigger the transmission when needed.
