Preparation
Before you invite clients to the client portal, make sure you brand your client portal first to give your clients the best possible experience.
We also recommend setting your internal team members for your team and external/related contacts in the people section within Clients. These users will be visible on the Client Portal under Plan Contacts.
Inviting Client Contacts
When ready to invite a user, go to Client under People and click on the Add button on the top-right corner of the People section.
Search for a pre-existing contact (you likely have a contact from your email threads with them) or enter their name to add a new contact.
If this is a new contact, a window will open to add their email address, phone number, title, and company.
Select their respective role. They are able to change this later as well as invite other team members directly from the Client Portal themselves.
Click on the "Client Portal Access" checkbox.
This will bring up a window which lets you configure the appropriate permissions for the user such as:
Add, manage, or delete other users
Access and manage billing settings
View all team communications
View and upload shared files
Click on "Send Invitation" to send a branded email to the user to join the portal.
Below is an example of what the branded email looks like.
Email Footer
Portal invitation, password resets, password-less login, and two-factor authorization emails are sent from [email protected] to ensure no other parties have access to any secure keys or tokens exchanged via email. This requires us to include links to the Stax.ai Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and company address at the bottom for FCC and CAN-SPAM Act regulations.
All emails sent from the Library > Email Templates section along with marketing campaigns and Automations are sent through your email address and therefore does not require the footer.
