Overview

Every task in Stax.ai CX keeps a running history of what happened and when. The Activity log answers the questions teams ask most: Who changed this? What changed? When? Did the automation run cleanly? It's the fastest way to rebuild context before you act — no long email threads, no asking a teammate for a handoff.

What the Activity log shows

The Activity log appears in the right-side panel of a selected task. As the task changes, the log records the history, including:

  • Status movement — for example, To-do to In Progress.

  • Assignment changes — who owned the task and when it changed hands.

  • Due date adjustments — every time the deadline moved.

  • Automation events — informational updates and errors from any attached automation.

Review a task's history

  1. Open the task in the task workspace. The Activity log appears in the right-side panel.

  2. Read the entries from newest to oldest.

  3. Focus on the decision points: a. The latest status change. b. The most recent owner change. c. Any due date movement. d. Any automation messages that show success or failure.

  4. Decide whether the task is moving forward, stalled, or blocked — then act.

Check automation behavior

If the task has an attached automation, the Activity log tracks how it ran. Review the automation entries to tell whether the task completed cleanly or needs attention. This is especially useful when a task was paused, retried, or flagged during an automated flow.

Best practices

  • Treat Activity as your source of truth when task history is unclear — it beats guesswork.

  • Review the log before picking up a teammate's task, so you start from the latest state.

  • For support and compliance-sensitive work, use the log to keep execution consistent and auditable.
