What are Tasks?
Tasks turn day-to-day work into clear, trackable actions in Stax.ai CX. Instead of keeping requests in email threads, chat messages, or sticky notes, your team moves that work into one shared queue. Each task is a single piece of work with an owner, a due date, and a status — so everyone can see what needs attention now and what can wait.
Key capabilities
Better focus. The task list shows what's up next and what's most urgent, so nothing slips.
Shared status language. Statuses like To-do, In Progress, Overdue, On Hold, and Done mean everyone reads progress the same way.
Visible follow-through. Managers and teammates see progress in real time — no status meetings needed to know if work is moving.
Built-in context. Tasks live alongside your clients, plans, projects, and inbox. You can act on a pending item without rebuilding context from scratch.
In TPA work, small missed follow-ups can turn into deadline pressure, client frustration, or compliance risk. Tasks make next steps visible and accountable so that doesn't happen.
How Tasks fit into CX
Tasks and Projects work together. A task handles one action item. A project groups related tasks into a broader workflow. That gives you flexibility: quick one-off items and large multi-step processes run in the same system. Tasks can also carry Automations — like sending an email — and client-facing tasks appear in the client portal.
A quick look
The left panel lists your organization's tasks. Select any task to see its details — company, assignee, due date, and status — in the center of the page.
View your tasks
Click To Do in the left-hand menu, then select Tasks. The task management page opens.
Scan the list on the left panel. You'll see tasks you created plus tasks generated automatically by processes like onboarding and payroll.
Select a task to view its details in the center of the page.
Use filters to narrow the list by assignee, status, or other fields.
Note: Assignee filters list your organization's current CX users. People who have been removed from CX no longer appear as options, so you won't see former colleagues in the list.
