CX can read the context of an email and suggest tasks for you, so client requests turn into tracked work in one click. Think of it as a follow-up assistant: instead of copying email details into a task by hand, you review CX's suggestions and add the ones you want. Suggested tasks stay tied to the related email and client, so the context travels with the work.

When to use it

  • A client email asks for something that needs follow-up.

  • You want to capture action items quickly without retyping email details.

  • Your team keeps missing follow-ups buried in email threads.

Create a task from a suggestion

  1. Click Inbox in the left navigation, then click the email you want to review. When the email opens, CX automatically reads its context and generates Suggested Tasks.

  2. Read each suggestion and confirm it matches a follow-up you actually want tracked. Skipping ones you don't need keeps your task list clean.

  3. Click the suggested task card you want to add. CX creates a new task from the suggestion and links it to the related email and client context.

  4. Confirm the task was created. The suggestion now appears as a normal task item instead of a suggestion card — that confirms it is part of your active workflow.

  5. Open the new task to manage it. Update the details, assign an owner if needed, and track progress like any other task. Mark it complete when the follow-up is done.

Options explained

  • Suggested task cards — proposals only. Nothing is added to your workflow until you click one.

  • Linked context — created tasks keep their tie to the source email and client, so anyone picking up the task can see where it came from.

  • Ownership and details — after creation, edit the task like any other: adjust the description, assign a teammate, and set what you need.

Troubleshooting

  • No suggestions appear. Suggestions are generated when you open a specific email. Open the message itself, and give it a moment to process. Short or empty emails may not produce suggestions.

  • A suggestion is off-target. Just don't click it — suggestions you ignore are never added. Create a task manually if you need something different.

  • The task is missing client context. Link the thread to the right client so related work stays connected. See Linking Emails to Client Interactions.
