Goal
Start every workday with a five-minute review that sets your priorities — and give your team a shared version of the same habit. CX already builds a personal Daily Briefing for every user automatically. In this workflow, you'll turn it into a daily routine, then extend it with a shared team dashboard for the parts your briefing doesn't cover.
Prerequisites
Your email is connected in CX, so the Emails Summary and Suggested Tasks widgets have data to work with (see Centralizing Client Email in CX).
Tasks have owners and due dates, so the task widgets reflect real work (see Creating and Managing Tasks).
For the optional team dashboard: write access to dashboards, granted in Settings > Users & Groups.
Step-by-step workflow
1. Open your Daily Briefing
Go to the Dashboard section in CX. Your Daily Briefing opens by default.
If another dashboard is showing, click the ▼ chevron next to the dashboard name and select Daily Briefing.
Your briefing is unique to you — it compiles your emails, your tasks, and your assigned clients automatically. There's nothing to configure.
2. Work through it, top to bottom
Review the Emails Summary to see what came in yesterday.
Check Suggested Tasks and add the ones you want to work on — they move onto your task list.
Tackle Overdue & Due Today Tasks first, then your Tasks In Progress.
Scan Client Pulse Reports for any clients whose health needs attention.
See Your Daily Briefing for a full tour of each widget.
3. Extend it with a shared team briefing (optional)
The Daily Briefing covers your day. For a firm-wide morning view, build a shared dashboard next to it:
Click the ▼ chevron and select New Dashboard. Name it something like "Team Morning Check."
Add widgets for the questions your team asks each morning — for example, projects by status, tasks blocked by clients, or clients at risk.
Arrange the layout and let it save automatically.
For widget-by-widget help, see Creating and Customizing Dashboards. The built-in Operations Overview and Client Overview dashboards are good models to borrow from.
4. Make it a routine
Start each day in Dashboard — personal briefing first, team dashboard second.
In team standups, work from the shared dashboard so everyone sees the same numbers.
Expected outcome
Every morning, you know what came in, what's due, and which clients need attention — in about five minutes.
Suggested tasks move onto your task list with one click, so email requests don't get lost.
Your team runs its morning check from one shared, live view instead of scattered status emails.

Tips
Tip: Make the Daily Briefing the first thing you check each morning. Five minutes here sets your priorities for the day.
Tip: During census season, add the built-in Census & Payroll dashboard to your morning rotation to catch stuck submissions early.
Tip: Your Daily Briefing is personal and automatic — you can't break it. Experiment freely with your shared team dashboard instead.
