Your Email Inbox Overview

The Inbox is your email workbench inside CX. What each view holds, what's on the screen, and how mail connects to the client it belongs to.

The Inbox in Stax.ai CX lets you read, organize and send client email without leaving the platform. Think of it as your email workbench inside CX — you review threads, draft responses, and keep every conversation tied to the client it belongs to.

Your connected mailbox stays the source of truth. CX gives you a cleaner way to work through daily email, with the client's plans, tasks and documents one click away.

What you can do here

  • Keep communication and operations in one place, so you spend less time switching between tools.

  • Find a conversation by client, not by memory. CX links threads to companies automatically, so a client's email history sits on their record.

  • Get help writing. The assistant in the thread panel can summarize a thread, tell you what the sender is asking for, or draft talking points for a reply.

  • Turn email into work. Suggested tasks and responses appear alongside the thread, so a request doesn't have to be re-typed into a task by hand

Where your mail goes

The left sidebar splits your mail into views. CX opens on All Mail.

  • All Mail — everything that has synced, in one list.

  • Clients — only threads linked to a company. The fastest way to see what is filed against a client record.

  • Internal — messages between people on your own team.

  • Archive — threads you have archived out of the main list.

  • Outbox — messages on their way out, including anything scheduled.

  • Sent — messages you have sent.

Tip: Comparing All Mail with Clients is a quick way to spot conversations that aren't attached to a client record yet.

What's on the screen

The message list sits in the middle. Each row shows the sender, the linked company underneath if there is one, and the subject. Use Search at the top, or the From and Client filters, to narrow it. Add Filter opens the rest.

The thread panel on the right changes with the conversation:

  • The company card shows which client the thread is filed against, with their status and plan tags.

  • Chat is the assistant. Ask it about the thread, or use one of the suggested prompts.

  • Tasks and Responses surface work and replies CX has suggested from the conversation.

  • Attachments collects the files in the thread.

Compose in the top right opens the composer for a new message.

How Inbox fits into CX

  • Your provider mailbox stays the system of record. CX syncs from it.

  • CX adds the workflow layer — linking, tasks, and visibility your team works in.

  • Mail linked to a company feeds that company's Interactions history and pulse, so the account picture reflects what's actually being said, not just tasks closed.
