The Split Folder

What is this folder?

The Split stack is used to automatically split documents apart when manual splitters are placed.

How does it work?

When manual splitters are placed in a document, you can move the document into this stack to automatically split it without any more interaction.

Once the document has split at the manually added splitters, the splits and original document will be automatically moved out of this folder and back into the main brokerage statement workflow.

Helpful information

There is no automation to move documents in to this folder, as it is not apart of the main workflow. However, there is an automation to move the documents out of this stack.

After documents are placed in this stack to split apart at the manually inserted splitters, the splits will be automatically moved to the Find Info stack.

The original document placed in this stack will be moved to the Original Uploads stack.

How to Split a Document

1. Verify the document:

  • Open the document (whether it is located in “Todo”, “Find Info”, or “Original Uploads” stack).

  • Scroll through the entire document to confirm it is a multi-statement document.

  • Once you’ve done this, jump to Step 2.

2. Add manual splitters:

  • Begin scrolling and distinguish where a statement ends and begins.

  • Hover your mouse between the two pages. A pair of scissors will appear with a gray dotted line.

  • Left-click your mouse to apply the splitter, which will change the dotted line to red.

    1. You can remove the splitter by clicking on the to the right of the dotted line.

  • Once you’ve done this, jump to Step 3 or 4.

3. Rename the new documents: (optional)

  • Locating one of your manual splitters.

  • On the left, you will find the current file name.

  • A window will pop up named “Move your document.”

  • Select “Split.”

  • Then, click on “Move Document.”

  • Once the document registers and initiates your splits, the new document will move onto “Find Info.”

  • Yay, you have added manual splitters to a document!
