Overview

Public upload folders let outside users send files to your team without full portal access. This is useful when you need to collect documents from people who are not regular CX users. It keeps intake simple while still protecting existing folder contents.

Key Benefits

  • Makes external document collection faster and easier.

  • Removes login friction for one-time or occasional uploads.

  • Helps teams collect intake documents in a controlled location.

  • Protects existing files from public view.

How To

Step 1: Open Files and choose the folder you want to use for incoming uploads.

Step 2: Open folder options and enable Public File Upload.

Step 3: Copy the generated public link.

Step 4: Send that link to the external person who needs to upload files.

Step 5: Ask them to upload directly through the link.

Step 6: Confirm uploads appear in your selected folder.

Step 7: Remember that public users can upload files, but they cannot view existing files in that folder.
