Pershing has 2 formats

Format 1

Some Pershing Format 1 statements will not have an “Activity Summary” included.

When you come across these statements, tag transactions from the “Portfolio at a Glance” table on the first page.

Extractions:

  • Beginning Balance

  • TX: Income

  • Gain/Loss

  • Ending Balance

  • TX: Accrued

  • TX: Purchases

  • TX: Sales

  • Transfer Out

  • Transfer In

  • TX: Fees

  • Other: Taxes

  • TX: Withdrawals

  • TX: Deposits

  • Other

Equations:

TX: Other

={other} + {other: taxes}

TX: Transfers

={transfer in} + {transfer out}

The normal Transaction Detail guidelines will be followed and used for these statements

Table Name: Transaction Detail

Column Names: Date, Description, & Amount

We will not include FDIC Insured Bank Deposits or Money Market Funds in the Transaction Detail.

There are two different FDIC Insured Bank Deposits information will appear. The ones listed under “Transactions by Type of Activity” should be included. But, the other ones listed in it’s own section named FDIC Insured Bank Deposits is what we want to avoid.


Format 2

ATTENTION: Moving forward, for this provider, you will:

Extract all the fields visible in the screenshots.

Calculate any other relevant details from the statement, particularly in the transaction section, to capture all the reporting activities during that period.

CAREFUL: Select the “Auto-Calculate Gain/Loss” option, but only after performing the steps mentioned above.

Leave a note stating “Please review and verify the statements below. The activity has been manually calculated by referencing the transaction details, and the gain/loss has been determined based on that information.”

Mark the account as “Reviewed” in the Investments Dashboard (if you are working in there).
